COST Floral preservation products range from $40-$750, with additional costs for upgraded options. Large displays include floral preservation, chosen display, and customized display consulting/design. Sales tax is not included in prices.
BOUQUET DROPOFF AND ORDER PLACEMENT/PAYMENT $50 booking fee is due in order to schedule a floral dropoff appointment, which is refunded if you show for your scheduled appointment. $50 is not refunded if you do not show for your appointment. $150+tax (cash/check/credit) non-refundable deposit is due at dropoff. Make checks payable to Don’t Toss The Bouquet: Floral Preservation. Smaller orders require full payment at dropoff. If someone drops off flowers, the flowers’ owners are still held responsible to review and comply with Don’t Toss The Bouquet policies in this contract. Balance is due when you select your official package (maximum of 1 month after dropoff). All types of payment accepted. Mementos for display should be submitted with proper submission form within 3 months from dropoff. YOU MUST FINALIZE ALL ORDER DECISIONS WITHIN ONE MONTH OF FLOWER DROPOFF via website ordering system (instructions provided). If the order is not finalized via our ordering system within one month, we will discontinue the preservation process. Balance is due when you finalize your decisions within one month from dropoff. You will receive a coupon code to deduct your deposit for online payment. Your order must go through our system to be official. Our timeline is based on ORDER FINALIZATION date, not deposit/dropoff date. If you need more time, so do we. If you ordered before DTTB received your flowers, DTTB will use the later dropoff date.
PRESERVATION Preservation includes freeze drying AND silica gel preservation, strengthening/reshaping and acrylic coloring process. Some color shades will change through the preservation process. All preserved flowers (no matter the process) run the risk of fading over the years due to sun, humidity, and extreme heat. Our preservation process attempts to prevent discoloration in proper conditions. Flowers go through a gluing process; small-petal flowers/leaves like hydrangea (glued at base of bunch) could shed or droop. Flowers may shrink in size through preservation, as the flowers’ moisture is absorbed. Some flowers don’t work well with preservation: stephanotis, some orchids, some green varieties, berries, succulents, and anemones. I can replace these with artificial imitation options if requested. In some displays, fake greenery must be added without request. The results of preservation are dependent on the quality of your flowers/florist, which is a variable we cannot always predict. Once flowers and display are ready, you will receive proofs for evaluation and display decisions (not applicable for all items). This time frame ranges, depending on your flowers and package decisions. On average, proofs arrive in about a year. Proofs are included with 16x20 and 11x14 shadow box, bubble, tabletop glass displays, large dome, resin tray, resin cube/hexagon. Proofs are not included with 10x10 premade box, mini box, mini dome, ornaments, all small resin items.
DISPLAY For most displays, Don’t Toss The Bouquet will contact you with picture options for your displays. Please respond with one week of proof email. You must answer any follow-up questions within 48 hours, which will be noted in the email. If you do not respond within a week of contact or 48 hours after subsequent contact, we will discontinue the process. Items will be glued as close to the proof picture as possible. Some slight variations may occur during gluing process. Most glue remains hidden, but in some cases may be visible. For all premade boxes, flowers are arranged according to artist preference and do not go through proofing process. Shadow boxes and domes are sealed closed. Boxes can be hung, but hardware is not provided. If display is damaged during your hardware installation, Don’t Toss The Bouquet is not held responsible. Due to the nature of some frames, there may be slight variations in each frame. Imperfections/irregularities are possible in the coloring/design of the frame. Some glass may contain imperfections. The glass display cubes are not sealed, which leaves you the flexibility of arranging your own mementos if you choose. The cases can be sealed upon request. Resin can amber over time. Bubbles and/or natural elements may be present in resin pieces. All unused mementos will be returned to you. Any vases left on premise will be donated.
ORNAMENTS Ornaments are created via artists’ preference and do NOT go through proofing process. Christmas completion is not guaranteed for ornament orders. DTTB will not expedite ornament orders.
PICKUP After we contact you with a notice of completion, you must arrange a pickup appointment within one month. (DTTB will store up one month past notification. You forfeit ownership of your display after one month from your completion notification.) DTTB will not store products for more than one month. The entire process averages about 12 months, depending on the season, arrangement and client cooperation. Late-order displays will not adhere to timeline. Natural disasters, pandemics, and supply delays may slow DTTB's process and extend completion dates. Upon pickup, purchaser assumes all responsibility of product. You will be charged $50 for a missed pickup appointment without 24-hour notice.
DELIVERY DTTB does not provide shipping for items, as they are delicate and irreplaceable. DTTB will offer a white-glove delivery service on select weekends that can be scheduled online once your order is complete. Client must be present for delivery or DTTB will not leave items. If client needs to reschedule due to lack of presence, client is responsible to pay for new delivery cost. All clients must sign a product liability form when receiving items.
Clients purchasing Don’t Toss The Bouquet’s floral preservation packages play an important role in the design of their displays, but in choosing to use Don’t Toss The Bouquet’s service, clients grant the company permission to exhibit artistic choices in the preservation and arrangement process.
DTTB can post images of all projects in progress and/or completed.
